Khalichhahara Micro Hydro Project is located in Pahada VDC of Dolpa district. This project electrifies 1008 households in this ward. The project district lies in the Mid-Western Development Region of Nepal. The project site can be reached after five days walking distance from Chhaurjahari, Rukum. It takes about six hours walking distance from Juphal airport.
The Project site is located at Lamidada VDC-5 of Dolakha district. The source of the flow is Gumu Khola. The altitude of the intake area is about 1070 m AMSL.The potential load centers of the project comprise Ward no: 4, 5,6 and 8 of Lamidada VDC and ward no- 4 of sunkhani VDC, ward no 4 of sunkhani VDC having 474 HH.

Khalichhahara MHP 100 kW, Pahada VDC, Dolpa
The project lies in Pahada VDC of Dolpa district. The project area is among the easily accessible area of Dolpa. Development of infrastructural facilities there is limited and obviously life standard also is poor.
The literacy rate is lower and the overall economic condition of the villagers is poor. Because of the lack of electricity, possibilities of different economic activities have been shadowed and the establishment of the project will surely be milestone to increase the economic activities within the community level.
Major source of income of the people there is agriculture. Major agricultural products are millet, maize, barley and potato. People annually go to upper mountains for the collection of Yarchagumba which has been the major source of income for the people of Dolpa. The project site lies in higher altitude. Only a few villagers have been engaged in jobs. They have been to India and gulf countries. So, remittance has also been a major source of income for some households.
